Creating a Space

Being on break from teaching has really given me some time to reflect, refresh, and engage in some of my passions which lately I have not made time for. So now as 2020 comes to a close I look forward to creating a space for myself and one of my passions, knitting where I can share and maybe inspire others to share their craft too.

As one of my beginning steps, I have turned our daughter's bedroom into a study for myself. It has been fun transforming the space to fit and highlight my interests and passions. Being a kindergarten teacher I have been completely remote to hybrid. This has not been easy, but it has given me time to reflect on what matters most and how important it is to take time for myself. So my new space has been serving as a school and as my own study.

So I am knitting lots! This week I started a new venture on Etsy. My store is VtIslandKnitter. I am a bit nervous but ready to try to market some of the work I have created. Having knitted for many years and seen how happy friends and family have been with their gifts created from yarn, I thought maybe now it is time to take a risk and begin to sell some of my knitted pieces.
